Ice and Water Shield
In addition, we install Ice and Water shield on all shingled roofing for residential and commercial applications, per building codes and requirements. In accordance with roofing code, we can install this product where leaks occur most frequently (valleys, roof edges where ice damming happens, etc), but, if the customer requests, we can also cover the entire roof with Ice and Water Shield to give added protection. Ice and Water Shield has quickly become the “gold standard” for creating leak-free roofs in all climates, especially the harsh weather conditions in Southeast Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. When nails penetrate this product as the shingles are installed, the rubberized nature of this material creates a gasket effect on the shaft of the nail. Leaks simply do not occur. In addition to stopping leaks that are caused by ice damming, it also stops leaks that are created by wind-driven rain.
